It's December 28th around 11:00 pm.  A cold quiet night.  The stars are bright, the glow is on.

Three guys who are not otherwise occupied sit near the warm stove and sip whiskey.

They talk in low voices about life in general and some things in particular.

I started and finished this painting during a very bright and very warm week in June.
